'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' introduced us to crusading journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) and his remarkable accomplice and sometime lover Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) who helped him solve a decades-old murder mystery. The saga continued with 'The Girl Who Played With Fire', where Lisbeth found herself confronting dark and deadly forces from her past. Now, in the third part, Lisbeth is under police guard in hospital, charged with murder and awaiting a trial that promises to be a media sensation. Cut off from all communication with the outside world, she must rely on Blomkvist to prove her innocence and expose the political cover-up that threatens to destroy her freedom. In his way stands a mysterious group who will go to any lengths to keep the shocking truth of their actions a secret.
